Pumpkin Whatever it is that you will see or hear or read from all the things presented in this site which does not conform with your principles in life or your personal beliefs even with your musical understanding, has nothing to do with the integrity of my spiritual direction. I'm just visiting the old days and I thought that maybe, you too were part of the musical beauty and wonders of the past, and that somehow from all of this, we'll find each other and connect the string which were once cut and partly forgotten because of all the years that passed and hoping you'll try to relate with the music and stuffs written here and in a way help you in remembering some old friends, families, faded loves, people, places and events. Enjoy your stay! Pumpkin

The Flaming LipsThis will be my last rant for this week. I don't know if I can find time to make one or two next week because I will be very busy for our upcoming PBK. Lots of things happened this past few weeks though, the Thai coup, Crocodile Hunters death, extra judicial killings in the countryside, courtroom dramas, rubouts, expired taxi gas tanks, some steps of cha-cha, airport security tests, martial law memories, and a lot more. Like a roll of tissue, the news keeps on coming day after day and always goes back to just one word, "Awareness."

Anyway, when I was in the south back in the late 90's, while looking for new releases of some bands, my eyes caught this band and their song in a compilation album, but I shrugged it away because it was out of the plan. Then through the years, I kinda' mistaken the band from Semisonic and their song to Stone Temple Pilot's song "Veseline" just because of the word veseline. It was like who's who and which is which. Then while making "The Beautiful People" and looking for some lips images, my eyes caught the band photo but again, I shrugged it away. Then this over YouTube. No shrugging anymore. Here's one of my favorite song about a simple news and buzz, off their 1993 "Transmissions from The Satellite Heart" album, here's The Flaming Lips song "She Don't Use Jelly." Plus: Semisonic's "Closing Time" video off their 1998 "Feeling Strangely Fine" album.

I know a girl who reminds me of cher
She's always changing

Closing Time
Semisonic

Closing time
Open all the doors and let you out into the world
Closing time
Turn all of the lights on over every boy and every girl
Closing time
One last call for alcohol so finish your whiskey or beer
Closing time
You don't have to go home but you can't stay here

I know who I want to take me home

Time for you to go out to the places you will be from
Closing time
This room won't be open till your brothers or your sisters come
So gather up your jackets, move it to the exits
I hope you have found a friend

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end

I know who I want to take me home
